Plants vs Zombies hitting XBLA

The hit game Plants vs Zombies is getting an XBLA (Xbox Live Arcade) version with a slew of interesting additions that will make those who purchased the PC version drool in envy :(.

Aside from achievements (which we PC guys have via Steam), the XBLA version for PvsZ will also have co-op and versus multiplayer modes.

Ed Allard, PopCap’s head of worldwide studios, says, “The two new multiplayer modes allow gamers to work cooperatively to defeat hordes of invading zombies, or go head-to-head in a true ‘plants vs. zombies’ challenge.”

Aside from the new multiplayer options, you also have the ability to deck out your house and ultimately, visit your neighbors. Zombieland anyone?

We already knew about co-op and versus multiplayer, but did you know you can also deck out your house and visit your neighbors? Considering how many zombies are on the lawn, running to the neighbor is bound to come in handy. Check out new screens below and find the trailer after the break.

Plants vs. Zombies for Xbox Live Arcade will arrive in early September for 1200 Microsoft Points ($15).
