Nintendo ceases 3DS XL production in Japan

With a new set of hardware already released, it was only a matter of time until Nintendo discontinues the production of the Nintendo 3DS XL. Nintendo Japan’s official site now lists the 3DS XL section of Nintendo’s 3DS with an “ending production soon” label.
For the moment, production of 3DS XL models for other regions like the US and EU are still on going until the release of the new 3DS and new 3DS XL in those respective regions.
