Fresh from Capcom’s Japanese site, a press release was posted indicating that  Monster Hunter 4 has already shipped over two million copies in Japan — currently the highest record for a non-Nintendo title.

Do note that this is still not the official sales tally, just the number of units shipped to retailers and as such, this does not include the numbers from the Nintendo eShop.  Monster Hunter 4 is currently ranked #3 on the eShop all-software chart in Japan.

We’ll just have to wait for a few more days for Media Create software sales charts will give us a more precise picture but judging on how many sellers have sold out their copies of the game, things are only looking up for Capcom.
