Microsoft shares first Xbox One unboxing video
Three months ahead of the official launch, Xbox’s Major Nelson does the honors of having the first ever unboxing video of the Xbox One.
The Xbox One package contains:
- New and improved Kinect sensor, with a wider field-of-view
- Mono headset with inline audio controls
- Xbox One controller
- 4K rated HDMI cable
- Manual, paperwork, and a sticker
- Power cord and power brick
- “Liquid black” (aka glossy) Xbox One console
Nothing different from what we know so far aside from the inclusion of the mono headset.
Major Nelson made a quick rundown of the available I/O ports which includes:
- HDMI Out, S/PDIF
- HDMI In (for cable/satellite pass-through)
- USB 3.0 port x3
- the Kinect socket (note that Kinect can function as an IR Blaster)
- an IR Blaster port
- Gigabit Ethernet,
- Kensington security lock
- the propriety power connector
The Xbox One is set to launch sometime this holiday season for $499.
