Sony puts indie games in the spotlight with dedicated PS Vita channel
Sony is looking to put more attention on indie games on it’s PlayStation platform as it has officially launched a dedicated channel for the PlayStation Vita — a month after the same channel was added to the PlayStation 3.
Over the next few months, Sony highlighted that PS Vita owners will get to see upcoming releases of more indie titles including Spelunky, Terraria, Flower, Luftrausers, Hohokum, Counter-Spy, etc. As of the moment, the Indie Games chnalle is home to more than 53 titles and is anticipating more titles under development.
On the company’s US blog, Sony reiterates it’s unrestrictive and ongoing support for indie titles
At PlayStation, we’re proud to support indie development, and our unrestrictive policies make it easier than ever for developers to launch games on PS Vita. We recognize that the unique perspective that indie developers deliver contributes to the success and future of the gaming industry. And we’ve learned as much from working with talented indie developers over the last several years as (we hope) they have learned from us.
