The firmware for the Nintendo 3DS (which proved to be problematic for some), has blocked the first flash cart to come out for the console. Gateway, the company set out to release the flashcart has confirmed by email that the Gateway 3DS flashcart has already been blocked by the recent 3DS update even before it’s release date.

The company says they are working on a fix to get the card to work on a v6.x firmware fix but currently maintains that potential early adopters should not update their 3DS until a patch is available.

So begins the cat and mouse game of exploits for the 3DS
