Just a few more days until Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate hits stores and Capcom has another teaser up it’s sleeve by showcasing how much content there is in the game.

Due to the nature of the game, many fans have decided to count the number of monsters in the game for each series as a measure of how big  a game is.  In Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, there are 73 different (both small and large) monsters, including all of the monsters from Monster Hunter Tri.  This includes the all time favorite (or most hated monster depending on who you’re talking to) Plesioth.

phew!  That’s a lot.  Sure it’s still a bit behind when compared to the LAST Monster Hunter game on the PlayStation, Monster Hunter Freedom Unite the numbers don’t reflect the numerous additions into the game like new areas, new mechanics for the farm, etc.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is set to come out this week for the Nintendo 3DS and the Wii U.
