Free 3DS Ambassador games now available for download
To compensate current 3DS owners for the unprecedented price drop of the 3D touting portable, Nintendo is giving you guys (the 3DS ambassadors) free 3DS games.
The problem? As with all things with gaming on a Nintendo console, availing of those free games is a tad bit cumbersome. Sony did it right with the PSN when they launched the Welcome Back package, giving your account digital vouchers that you can use to download games for your PS3 and PSP. Not everything went through without a hitch however as several people “lost” their welcome back vouchers but with a little back tracking, it can easily be restored. With Nintendo’s 3DS Ambassador program, it’s a bit of a workout to download your first game.
The part is, the Ambassador games are still not yet available via the eShop (not in the listings at least) despite Nintendo’s announcement of their availability. There is however, a workaround which will allow you to download your games now. Here’s how:
Go to the eShop:
Super Mario Bros.
Donkey Kong Jr.
Balloon Fight
Ice Climber
The Legend of Zelda
Metroid
NES Open Tournament Golf
Wrecking Crew
Zelda II – The Adventure of Link
Yoshi
As for the reset of the titles, you can view them here.
