Sony is about to release a new PlayStation 3 model, upgrading the more efficient build of the PS3 Slim.

The CECH-3000 PS3 model is set to ship with a 320 GB HDD and cuts power consumption of the current hardware iteration from 230W to just 200W. The new model is also set to cut off a bit of the PS3 slim’s heft, reducing the weight of the system from 3.0kg to just 2.6kg.

Sony has not mentioned a solo 160 gigabyte package. If you’re interested in getting the Tales of Xillia bundle (which includes the copy of the game and the limited edition PlayStation 3), that’ll be available on September 8, priced at ¥37,980.
