Aside from a new release, neur0n of his permanent CFW fame has joined Team Liquid. I guess we can expect a Pro-based full CFW soon.

which is better… 6.35 PRO B6 or B7?
B7 🙂
Why do I have to boot this cfw every time I restart my psp? It’s the same issue with 6.35PRO B6. Every time I restart the firmware reverts back to the ofw… I downgraded from 6.39PRO-B6 for that reason. What could be the issue?
Because this is just an LCFW (a temporary firmware).
Ah.. I see, thanks. Would you recommend 6.35PRO-B7 over 6.39PRO-B7, was it worth downgrading?
6.35 is more stable than 6.39.
You’re the best, thanks a bunch
Hello, I’m new to this Firmware updating because I just got pspgo yesterday.
you said this is a temporary firmware, so is there a permanent firmware for my psp?.
cause its a little annoying if I have to install this firmware everytime I reboot my psp.
hello, Can I install this to my PSP-N1002 6.20 OFW. Thanks
nevermind… I found a way to not to reinstall the CFW. by suspending my PSP.. Stupid me…
which is better? 6.20 or 6.35?
hey there i have 6.35 pro b5 by coldbird and variousflame , can i install this directly and skip pro b6 ? also is this for coldbird and variousflame or it doesnt work on this custom firmware?
Just unload your current CFW and install this one.
Can anyone tell me the latest non-LCFW that can run Dissidia 012? Because that’s the only game I’m having problems with, and I’m willing to do a lot of work to get it to work.
Nearly all LCFW’s work with Dissidia 012. You might have a patched copy of the game.
That’s wierd. I tried it with 6.38 ME-8 and 6.20 PRO-B7.
Again you might have a patched copy, get the untouched copy from this page
Hey Sylv3r, long time!
Does “LCFW” flash anything to the flash0 (if I remember correctly)?
I understand you need to reload it eveytime the PSP fully shuts down, but do the LCFW installation files remain permanently in the PSP? Or is it like 5.03 GEN-C where everything can be completely removed including installation files?
Sorry but I hope you get what I’m trying to ask haha.
Pro writes certain files to flash0 which allows it to stay on your PSP without reinstallation. It still needs to be reloaded when you come from a cold boot (power off) but no more reinstallation required, just run the recovery module and you’re back in business. Only 6.20 has a permanent patch.
Thanks! Please brace yourself for more questions:
1) Is 5.03 GEN-C considered LCFW?
2) Can the files written by Pro to flash0 be removed?
3) From OFW 5.03, which would you recommend to update to – 6.20, 6.35, or 6.39?
Sorry for asking a lot haha.
1.) Yes
2.) Yes, you have the option to uninstall Pro LCFW
3.) Yes because 6.xx firmwares are quite stable already and you don’t have to deal with patching your game to make it work
Thanks Sylv3r! For the last question, which is the most recommended OFW again?
I would recommend 6.35 OFW.
Thanks Sylv3r, finally I think I am ready to leave my comfort zone of 5.03 GEN-C.
ghost of sparta and resistance retribution seem to have some lag… like ghost of sparta dropping from 60 fps to around 20+fps and retribution from 30 fps to 15fps… is this normal to the lcfws? or is it more smoother to play on umd’s? (i’m playing full sized ISO’s btw… no compression)
Team Total_Noob or Team PRO? I’m quite confused as both have a very solid following. What is your objective opinion? Why should I choose one over the other?
Both have their merits although I would recommend going PRO now since Total_Noob has totally left the scene.
What’s a “Nightly Build”? PRO-B8 has been recently announced in a forum but it says Nightly Build. Is it like a beta release?
Yep, you can put it that way. By the way, 6.XX PRO-B8 is officially out. I haven’t posred because it doesn’t load properly on my psp go ;(.
Hey Sylv3r,
Yesterday there was only the Pro-B8 Nightly Build annoucement which appears to work only for PSP-1000/2000. Ran BabelFish in the official German website.
When I checked this morning, BOOM! Official PRO-B8 is out! I love these guys!
I’ll be sticking with Team PRO, thanks for helping me choose. 😉
Yep 🙂 Pro-B8 is out 🙂
Was able to make it work. 6.XX PRO-B8 is now posted 🙂
can i just put cfw 6.39 on my psp before updating it to ofw6.39?
and will it nbrick my psp?
That won’t work, you need to be upgraded to 6.39 before you can install 6.39 LCFW.
after i update my fw to 6.39, i need to install 6.39 Pro-B7 or 6.35 Pro-B7.
6.39 Pro-B7. if you want to install, 6.35 Pro-B7, you need to downgrade to 6.35 OFW using this guide.
sorry to ask…i am not sure where to create an iso folder…i placed it on PSP/GAME/ISO?
X:/ISO. No need to place it inside PSP/GAME
thanks man, you are the best…i was able to run tekken6.iso.
can I play Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep Final Mix inthis firmware ?
Can I update my 5.00 M33-6 with this?
Yep. You might want to get the latest PRO-B build however.
