The upcoming zombie survival game, Dead Island has piqued my curiosity somewhat from the first trailer (the sad trailer, because well, it’s literally sad).

Here’s a with about twelve minutes of Dead Island gameplay that includes lots of blood and zombie mashing.

I kinda like the game but for some reason, having achievements pop-up whenever you hit something or see your XP gain pop in the middle of the screen after killing a zombie does take my enthusiasm away. I do hope there’s a realism mode (or mod) to get rid of that. We do to get mod this thing right? If not I guess I’ll be picking this one up once it’s on sale for $5 on Steam :/

Dead Island will be available for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
