Sony Launches the PlayStation Store for PSP
Without much fanfare, Sony opens up the PlayStation Store. where you can download for-pay and free content via your computer and upload them directly onto your PSP.
At the moment, there’s still just limited content like Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (PS1), Syphon Filter: Combat Ops and Tekken 2. Aside from games, wallpapers, themes, video trailers and demos are available as well.
To start downloading from the PlayStation Store, get The PSP PC Application and install it on your Desktop. It allows users to download content through the software and then it directly uploads to the USB-connected PSP.
It’s expected that sometime in the future the PS3 store will offer the same type of service as well as integrate with the PC and PSP Store. For now though, if you’re interested in trying the store out without cashing in, there’s FREE contents like games and themes that only require a sign up to download.
