What is Unreal Tournament?

Unreal Tournament is a series of First Person Shooter games created by Epic Games, formerly Epic Megagames which focuses on multiplayer battles (can you say fragfest?). Powered by Unreal Engines (each game carries it’s own version of the engine), the long-running series, and successful game brand carries a simple story behind it. No politics, no warring factions. Just a Tournament to reducing violence among deep-space miners working for the Liandri Mining Corp.

It does not follow a story as compelling as Doom nor does it require complex teamplay like CounterStrike. Unreal provides players with simple, unadulterated fun.
