Western Union payment for Adsense Publishers
Things are finally looking up for Adsense publishers who don’t own a Paypal account. I logged in to check my earnings for the day and saw this:
Your Western Union Quick Cash payment will be made in US dollars. However, at most Western Union Agent locations, you may have the option to receive your payment in your local currency. Conversion rates will be calculated according to the rate used by the Western Union Agent on the day you pick up your payment.
Google will probably deduct the transaction fee but hey, waiting for your money from a Western Union branch is a lot safer that waiting for a check (yes, yes Paypal is a lot safer but we don’t have it working for receiving funds in our country now do we?).
You need a government issued ID, which I’m wondering includes my very old postal ID, to be able to pick up your earnings which will be issued in dollars or convert it to your local currency. The limit is supposedly %10,000 (who in the world earns that much in adsense anyway?) but for the Philippines (where I am) it’s only $2000 (again way off my limit). Payments are sent out the 15th of the month AFTER you reach your quota.
Western Union payments are available only for publishers living in these countries:
- China (Mainland)
- Malaysia
- Pakistan
- Romania
- Philippines
- Argentina
- Chile
- Peru
- Colombia
If you want to learn more about Western Union and Adsense then read the Help Center entry. If you don’t have an Adsense account and want to monetize your site now, then follow the referral link at the sidebar.
EDIT: I saw a post that WU payouts won’t deductions for transaction fees Am waiting for confirmation.
