Free Online Photoshop
At long last, Adobe will now be offering a free, online version of one of their most powerful softwares. Dubbed Photoshop Express, the photo editor is part of the Adobe’s plan to to make their imaging technology accessible to everyone. Photoshop Express is not meant as replacement to Adobe’s current offerings. Judging from the teaser shot shown here, you can easily tell that it’s not a stripped version of Photoshop but a whole new product in itself. The sleek interface is likely to call lots of attention as well.
First hinted at by Adobe CEO Bruce Chizen some six months ago, Photoshop Express isn’t meant to duplicate/replace Photoshop CS3 or Photoshop Elements. Rather, it’s a new member of the Photoshop family that’s meant to make Adobe imaging technology immediately accessible to large numbers of people.
The announcement follows the implementation of Premiere Express, Adobe’s online video editor. With today’s content creation culture, Adobe intends to gain more appeal for it’s product lines by adding products compliment them. People who used to prefer alternatives will feel at home with Adobe’s new products.
