ISO tool Patching Guide

This guide will teach you how to use Taka’s ISO tool to patch games newer games that require 6.20 OFW and above so that they’ll work with older firmwares.
Important Note: that this guide is specifically targeted at PSPs with 5.00 M33-6, 5.03 GEN-C or 5.50 GEN-D3. You can use it together with any other permanent firmware but results are not guaranteed.
Requirements:
- A PSP with 5.00 M33-6, 5.03 GEN-C or 5.50 GEN-D3
- Download ISO Tool by Taka: Mirror 1 | Mirror 2
- Download 6.36prx: Mirror 1 | Mirror 2
Important note: Before proceeding, extract the 636.zip file and copy the resulting 6.36 folder into the seplugins folder of your PSP.
How to Patch games using ISO Tool
- Start the ISO tool from your XMB
- Select the ISO you wish to patch
- Press “O” (circle) to see the ISO Menu
- Select Patch Prometheus
- Select Prometheus4 and Press “O” (circle)
- ISO Tool will now start Patching Prometheus-4 right into the ISO. Once it’s done, you’ll be reverted to the main screen again
- Press “?” (Triangle), Select “CFW Change”
- You should see the CFW Path menu
Click to embiggen
- Select “Peagasus_plugin_on/”, Press “O” (circle), and Select “Yes” for the confirmation
- After the process is complete, you’ll be reverted to the initial screen. If you’re on 5.03 GEN-C, you can now enjoy your game.
If you’re on 5.00 M33-6 or 5.50 GEN-D3- Select the ISO you wish to patch
- Press “?” (Triangle), Select “CFW Change”
- If you’re on 5.00 M33-6

Select “500_M33_use_patch/” Press “O” (circle), and Select “Yes” for the confirmation
If you’re on 5.50 GEN-D3

Select “550_gen_d3_use_patch/” Press “O” (circle), and Select “Yes” for the confirmation
- After the process is complete, you’ll be reverted to the initial screen
- Select the ISO you wish to patch
- Press “O” (circle) to see the ISO Menu
- Select Eboot Decrypter and Press “O” (circle)
- Follow the selection on the next screens:
- After the process is complete, you’ll be reverted to the initial screen. You can now quit the ISO Tool and enjoy your game

I have a problem here. After putting the iso tool patch inside the game folder, and the 6.36 inside seplugins, when i went to my xmb to check the iso tool, it says corrupted data. What should i do?
This guide only works on PSPs with custom firmware installed :/

ei syl hindi po b masisira ung psp kpg gnamit itong tool n ito? kc permanent n atang 5.03 gen-c itong psp 2000 ko. sabi s waranty ko hnd ko n cya pwng iupgrade s version higher than 5.03. please help tnx
Safe yung ISO tool, ang pwede lang masira nito is yung ISO file pero not your PSP.

what happens if your using this on 6.39 EM-5. im trying to download monster hunter portable 3 but its not working, at first i just say the little thumb nail thing for it on my pen drive put when i pushed cso convert, my psp just shut down and when i turned on it was gone, pls help

1. You don’t need to patch the game since you’re on 6.20 TN-C
2. Is the game not loading using the XMB icon created from ISO Tool?
3. You can try 6.20 Pro-B6
i used the xmb icon from iso tool but not working…
they said wwe svsr 2010 and 2011 works on 5.50 gen d3..
can i change my cfw using iso tool?
Well you can try to patch the game but it’s much easier at this point to simply look for either an unpatched version (one that hasn’t been modified) or one that’s patched for 6.20 TN

Which game? Patching is not necessary for 6.20 TN-D (and the Prometheus ISO loader)
Where do i put the iso tool file to make it work? please help!!
My cfw is 5.50 prome-4, i have an iso Metal Slug XX and i patched a DLC (w/c is placed in prometheus folder) using iso_tool v1.977 to unlock Leona in the player select screen. The content of the DLC’s is MSXXLEONA.EDAT & PARAM.PBP. Then i run the game, until i find that Leona is nowhere to be seen! Plz help <:(

I have PSP 2000 with 5.03 Prometheus 4
There’s this game that I want to play, called Gakuen Hetalia Portable
I’m able to play the game normally at first, but then when I reach a certain point in the game (the 6th day) my PSP screen just turned black and do nothing, and everyone else who are playing this game also experienced the same thing. I thought patching the game would fix the problem, but it doesn’t
Do you have any suggestion on how to fix this problem?

Try it and you see… i try it on 5.50Gen-A but not working , tryed use iso tool, but i didnt know how, so it dint work, now im going to change to Gen-D3
Just updated Gen-D3 to Prome-4 and naruto impact is working fine.
Sorry for.. yes. But the 6.36 prx download links don’t work? the first mirror goes to the iso tool uploading link, and the second mirror is fileserve, which stopped allowing downloads if you don’t have pass and username. can you reupload or–?

Thank you, this worked great for a few isos. Running CFW 5.50 GEN-D3, and the only one I cant get to work after patching is sword art online.
