Install 6.35 Hen + Prometheus ISO loader on your PSP

If your PSP is on 6.35 OFW, don’t fret, there’s still the 6.35 Hen available for your system and the Prometheus ISO loader that will allow you to play those free PSP games. Note that if you’re on 6.20 OFW, follow this 6.20 HEN guide instead or if you’re on 6.31, follow the 6.31 HEN.
Requirements for 6.35 Hen and Prometheus ISO
- A PSP-3000, PSP-2000 with TA-v88v3 motherboard or PSP Go with official firmware 6.35 installed. If you have a hackable PSP, I would recommend to install a permanent CFW like 5.50 GEN-D3. If you’re not on 6.35, follow the upgrade guide for your PlayStation Portable on the troubleshooting part of the guide.
- Mina no Sukirri Demo
- 6.35 Hen pack
- Prometheus ISO loader
- Light VSH menu: PSP-2000 | PSP-3000 | PSP Go
Important Note: if you’re having problems with installing 6.35 Hen, try out the guide on installing the Signed 6.35 Hen PRO
Installing 6.35 Hen and Prometheus ISO loader on your PSP
- Extract the Mina no Sukkiri Demo onto your PC
- Copy the folder (NPJG90047) into x:\PSP\GAME (x is your memory stick or the PSP Go‘s storage)
- Extract the 6.35 hbl.zip file onto your PC
- Copy it’s contents directly onto your PSP. This contains both the homebrew loader and the exploited save data.
- Extract the Prometheus ISO loader onto your PC
- Copy the extracted folder to x:\PSP\GAME (x is your memory stick or the PSP Go‘s storage)
- Extract the Light VSH menu file for your PSP model on your computer.
- Copy the plugins folder directly onto your memory stick or the storage of your PSP Go.
- On your XMB, Run the Mina no Sukkiri
- Select the second option to load the save exploit. This would automatically load Hen onto your PSP and it will revert back to XMB
- Once you’re back on the XMB, press “select” to make sure the Hen menu displays correctly.
- Follow this guide: Installing the Prometheus ISO loader on your PSP.
- Enjoy your Free PSP Games :).
Update: Added installation of Light VSH Menu. Why is it at the start of the installation process? So you can immediately load it after installing the 6.31 Hen.
Important Note: Be sure to check the Prometheus ISO loader compatibility guide
Important Note: You need an ISO folder in your PSP’s memory. Simply create one and dump your PSP ISOs/CSOs there.
If you’re experiencing problems with loading HEN (symptoms include blue screen, freezes and turn off automatically), follow the tip below:
- Just as HEN started to load you just ticked the power button .. your PSP will go to standby mode … then switch on the power button again Your PSP booted up hen.
- Backup your savegames and PSN content, and reformat your card.
- Disable UMD-cache

Hello There!
I tried like said, but this is not working.. 8(
After Booting then HEN there appears a message “Memory Leak”. After this is goes back to XMB. The power switch standby mode trick leads to a system freeze.
What to do?

I’m running a PSP Go on firmware ver 6.35. Downloaded and installed the complete pack from above, but having issues getting it to work. When I the HEN loads up, the screen flashes some info really quick, then goes black for a while before powering down. Everything in the file structure seems to be in order. Any suggestions?
My HEN loads because I can run homwbrew, but I cant take out the “select” menu. My psp is 3004, 6.35. Is that menu important?
Odd. The VSH Menu is only used to tweak certain aspects of the PSP. If you’re just going to stick to playing games, it’s not really important.
Same with me. This was the reason i first thought it isn´t working. But the iso loader runs just fine.
yeah I can load ISOs with this 6.35 PRO in my psp 3000. Tested tekken6, hatsune miku project diva and need for speed carbono.
Also I can run snes emulator, nes emulator…

please help me, whenever i press ‘O’ on the second option it takes me to some black page with stuff written, then it blacks a few seconds later it says ‘ WARNING! MEMORY LEAK’ and then it goes Completely off, yesterday, i did it properly but, in the morning my sister removed the battery…
u just have to run the demo again n just redo it by loading that save from within the demo. its not hacked permanently; everytime u power down (not stand-by) the psp will revert back to official FW. its not that much of a hassle tho, it’ll do for now.

It worked flawlessly, just as described, only one minor problem which “uah” has too, the select menu thingy doesn’t display here either, but the ISO loader works without a problem.
I’ve repacked the files to include the latest build of Hen for 6.35 as well as a PSOne loader.
everytime i select the second option some text appears and after a few seconds my psp shuts down, how do i fix this?

I have a psp 2000 with ofw 6.35 on it. but Im not sure if its 2000v3 or not. Can I still run this program? I DO NOT care if I can run homebrew games. I just want to be able to dl and play psp games. plz help. Im a noob. lol.

one question -when i extract “6.35 hen pack”
there is one folder named “PSP” and when i try to put it on the psp , it says “replace folder” should i replace the folder named “PSP”
As long as your on Windows it’s fine. Macs actually replaces the folders.

can anybody help me I tried downloading o the above istructions but my psp 6.35 still doesnt work. the minna no sukurri doent work and the Prometheus says currupted file. PLEEESE HELP
Try redownloading the files again.
make sure u paste the fils in the correct locations before u run them. if not they will show as corrupted files. follow the instructions correctly. this happened to me too as i misplaced the installers to wrong location first…
Hey uhm, so i have downloaded everything properly here, but i have a few questions.
1. Which ISO’s work with this? When searching for certain game isos there are so many to pick from, and while some of them say works with so and so firmware, none of them say anything about 6.35 prometheus. Some say older versions like 5.00 and 5.50 prometheus,but not this one. So i was wondering if all ISO’s work for this?
2. How do i install patches for games? Like say for God Eater, if i have the ISO, where would i find a proper english patch, and how would i use it?

For ISOs that work with the Prometheus ISO loader, use this page as your guide. Do note that it’s not 100% accurate as your PSP model, current firmware and the state of the ISO you downloaded (patched, fixed, etc) could be a factor as to whether a game works or not.
For number 2, it depends on the patch released by the group. It could be as simple as running as another program on your XMB or it could be as complicated as this guide for patching english on Monster Hunter Portable 3rd.

yes it’s safe. Hen doesn’t permanently change anything on your PSP so it’s not going to damage it.
so when i did all this . i loaded up the Mina no Sukkiri and did what i was supposed to do…the first psp memory stick i did this with it work but it did a memory leak but work 100%…then i tried another memory stick and it took me to a screen called “HBL”(half byte loader) it has like a magicain that looks like he belongs to magic but any ways when that happens NOTHING works …why is this?????
The memory leak issue is normal. You can ignore that and proceed. However, since you don’t want to deal with this mess, try the installation guide for the Signed 6.35 Hen Pro. It’s much easier.

So I did everything as written and everything went great! When I open ISO Loader it shows nothing as ISO even I have lots of games in ISO folder. (I checked everything about it but couldn’t find the problem.) Any ideas?

check the format of the games in the ISO folder. Are you sure they are listed a ISO files or CSO files?
Hi Mr sylv3rblade i followed those steps and everything goes fine i have psp-3001 with 6.30 now its updated to 6.31 PRO i can run almost everything but when i press select nothing goes on i cant see HEN menu… can we fix it ? oh and btw i RLY what that rainbow background upper on the page can u tell me where i can find it ? or send it to me ?
Did you remember to activate the plugin via the vsh.txt file?

Can’t see what? Your PSP can’t see your games? You need to run the Prometheus ISO loader for that (as indicated in the post).

You have to remember that this is only HEN, meant for running homebrew. If you want to have your ISOs in your XMB, you may want to have a look at 6.35 Pro-B2:

hey there….i did everything according to the instructions given….it’s giving me tht “memory leak” thing after the sukkiri finishes…then when i tried to open the game using the prometheus, it shows launching, then my screen goes blank for a while and then the system just shuts down

It’s probably an issue with the game. What game are you trying to play?
Also, you may want to install the Signed version of the release, or 6.35 Pro-B4.

ok,so it worked but it only work sometimes…

Autorun? When you connect your PSP to your computer? That sounds like something is accessing your PSP without your knowledge (likely a virus).

It’s the menu that appears when you press select on the XMB (if you have loaded 6.35 successfully that is)
For best results, backup what you have and format the memory before installation – internal on the pspgo or the card on psp

ive installed HEN 6.35 on my M2 card, and the crack works great (ISO’s work, etc)
but, i have to do the crack everytime i turn on my PSP (5 minutes going into the game, hacking it, back to XMB, launch game, and so on…)
is this normal? does it not just hack it permanantly?
You can install 6.35 Pro-B4 if you want a “permanent” solution. Do note however that there is a slight chance of bricking.

I have 6.35 PRO version .My psp is with hbl . My friend has installed 3-4 games in my memory stick, but i cannot install another game.
I put ISO games in ISO foder,there who are other ISO games,but whet i go to play , PSP says’Corrupted Data’ . Whet i push O to play ,it says’This game cannot be started.The data is corrupted.’

Worked sweet, had to follow the pictures and select the right choices. And guessed saving data on to psp was at the root menu and woolah, now the young fulla is playing god of war.

The directory should just be x:/ISO not x:/PSP/GAMES/ISO

I got that thing working, and after some time, whenever I load a game, the thing keeps twitching. Like the screen, I mean. I’m scared it might break my PSP o-o

Nah, but it keeps moving and it lags.
On your XMB, press select, make sure CPU Clock Game is set to default or 222 or 333.

mine also showed memory leak.. but after that i opened the prometheus loader and the iso’s works like a charm. i did’nt use the plugin pack. used only the hen installer prometheus and sukkiri and followed the steps mentioned here…. for those who got memory leak please run the prometheus loader and check whwther it’s loading iso’s or not…

Plz help I am so new 2 d psp seen I seem 2 be have a problem with d memory card , I have formatted n reformatted a lot of tyms its a 1gig card so @ first it shows dat der is 950 mb free after saving a game progress o a music or picture file it den tells me dat there is only 94mb of free space n also if I try 2 continue with a game it says that data is corrupted plz help !!!
Are you placing the game on your memory stick?
I meant 4 saving progress save wen playn a game of a disk(udm) also I cnt save anything on memory stick like music or pictures or vidz , example. If I save sumthang on d stick via d pc on the psp it wudnt show up n b4 I can save anything it will say dat I have 950mb of free space after I save sumthang 4 lyk 5mb d space available becomes 90mb or so ! So I have no idea wat 2 do or if der is a problem with d memory stick or d psp
That sounds like a memory stick problem, try borrowing a spare and test it if the same thing happens.
did you format your memory stick with no data in it? if so ur card could have got corupted. do one thing put you memory stick in any card reader and format it using your pc with any operating system on fat-32 format. then copy some data onto the memory stick and put it on ur psp and format it inside ur psp. that should work. if not format it with mac os with windows dos format and do a format with ur psp with some data init. this will help u recover ur memory stick if it’s corrupted..
Hey there. I have a problem with my PSP 3000 with a GEN 6.35 just as this one is promoting. I had it installed in my PSP just days ago and I was able to play my games smoothly after that. But then yesterday, as I turned it back on after I played with it for awhile, I could no longer find the ISO loader. I can’t even find my ISO’s. How do I fix this? Hope you could help. Thanks!
GEN 6.35? You need to reinstall whichever LCFW you had installed.

As for the LCFW/HEN, you can install 6.35 PRO-B9.

1.) You just need to copy the homebrew to your PSP. No need to install since you’re already on 6.35 PRO-B9
2.) It’s a very old custom firmware based on 5.00. It’s not compatible with your PSP-3000 since it was released years prior.
3.) Yes and no. Not all CTF themes are compatible with 6.xx firmwares. Use them with caution.
